Taz confronts commissioner Jim Ross
Jul. 20, 2006
ThePWF.com has learned that eight-time World Champion Taz forced his way into a
meeting with PWF commissioner Jim Ross immediately after Wargames last night. The topic of discussion? The Triple Threat match signed
between the three members of the now-disbanded New Breed.
To put it simply, Taz was reported to have been "extremely upset" with the way events
went down on Wargames, further angered by Mike Flynn's words during the promo he
cut in the ring, one
that also brought about Flynn's newest controversial act -- the creation of VCW: Very
Controversial Wrestlers -- an obvious shot at Valiant Championship Wrestling owner Excellence. Taz made it clear that this match can not
be forced to abide to the normal rules that a wrestling contest follows, and the battle that is
about to take place between them should only follow one rule: anything goes, where no move is illegal and nothing can disqualify you.
A No Holds Barred match.
A match where the emphasis is placed on rules being thrown out of the window. It's a match that a wrestler like Taz can excel in, as you are able to lock on any submission,
apply any dangerous chokehold, and nail any dangerous maneuver. And it's all legal. Rules are dismissed and everything
else is welcome. This was the kind of match Taz wanted from Jim Ross,
claiming it to be "the only way" a war like this could be done.
Fortunately for Taz, Jim Ross completely agreed.
At La Mala Sombra on Aug. 2, it's going to be Mike Flynn, Raven, and Taz in a
Triple Threat No Holds Barred match for ... well, for nothing at all. There's no titles to be won. There's no special rewards. This one's
for the right to beat the hell out of the other two men across from you in the
ring and nothing more.
On a side note, Raven's right to add a stipulation to the match still stands,
should he defeat Christian this upcoming week on Wargames. After this most
recent development, Raven's views on what that stipulation should be ...
might've changed.
