Walker, Raven, Sandman, Sid to get Extreme
Aug. 26, 2006

Just one week before Fall Battle Fields and the Battle Field match, which is one man's ticket to the WrestleFest main event, Johnny Walker's PWF Extreme Championship will be up for grabs in a Ladder match. While Sandman and Sid Vicious have their own plans to climb the ladder and claim the title, the odds-on favorites to win have to be Walker and Raven.

Raven claims to be the uncrowned Extreme Champion for multiple reasons. He was the last Extreme Champion before The Kid and never lost the title, but the championship itself was made defunct by Mr. Bischoff, effectively stripping Raven of the belt on Feb. 22. At the time, Raven was a part of the invading New Breed and, despite claiming numerous reasons to the contrary, it was obvious to many that Mr. Bischoff couldn't stand to see PWF gold around the waist of a non-contracted wrestler ... especially one that made his intention to destroy the PWF clear many, many times.

Since then, however, Johnny Walker, an unknown to many before his debut in the PWF, has risen to fame for his daredevil style and undeniable success inside the squared-circle. Walker picked up the Extreme Championship on Aug. 2, over five months after Raven was stripped. The Kid claims to be the new face of the division, and his singles victory last week over former two-time Extreme Champion Riptide went a long way in backing that claim.

Whether defending champion and relative new "kid" on the block Johnny Walker can retain his championship over the hardest of the hardcore from the old guard or not is yet to be seen ... but Wednesday, in San Diego, Calif., we'll find out. Surely, Sandman and Sid Vicious will have a few thoughts on the subject, as well.

Tune in to Wargames on FOX at 8/7 CT to witness the carnage!
