One for the second thumb
Dec. 9, 2006
Wednesday night, history was made. For the tenth time in his
illustrious career, Rated R's own James Ace won professional wrestling's
highest achievement -- this time, in the PWF.
Nuclear Frost promised many surprises. All night long, superstars were
thrown into matches at random, without so much as a clue of who their opponents would be.
In the main event, three very fortunate superstars were granted the
opportunity to walk away as the new Professional Wrestling Federation Champion. Ace, Raven, and a
returning John Cena, a two-time PWF Champion himself, put on the match of the night for the Tacoma, Wash., crowd, but it
was the PWF Television Champion that would pull the belt free from Cena's
grasp to win wrestling's highest crown.
"It wasn't a surprise to me at all," said the new champion when ThePWF.com caught
up with him backstage after the event. "I know what I'm capable of in that
ring, and the whole world came to know how right I was. I promised that
Rated R's time was coming. Why would anyone think I was lying?"
The happy champion was then asked where his Television title was, but Ace informed
ThePWF.com that Mr. Bischoff had ripped it out of his hands as soon as Ace
appeared backstage. When asked about what this meant for Rated R's
dominance, Ace pointed to his newly acquired PWF Championship and let out a quick laugh.
"Should there be any doubt?"
Ace was not short on words, continuing to talk about what this win meant
to him. "This is a historical moment; this is something you'll
remember for the rest of your life. I have now proven that I have what it
takes on anyone's level, in any federation, at any time. So many people
wanted to doubt that I still have it, but I think I've removed all doubt.
I have just one more question for the world: Who's old and washed up now!?"
Ace would shove ten fingers into our interviewer's face before being met with congratulations by his Rated R stablemate, Del Wilkes.
