Catching up with Estrada
Mar. 2, 2007
ThePWF.com recently sat down with Armando Alejandro Estrada to find out what
the Cuban businessman has been up to, what his thoughts were on the current
work stoppage, and more. As always, Mr. Estrada was dressed in a stylish suit,
complete with designer sunglasses. Upon sitting down, he first offered me a
Cohiba, his favorite brand of cigar, before letting out his trademark laugh and
tucking the Cuban specialty back into his suit-pocket.
ThePWF.com: Mr. Estrada, first of all, what have you been up to?
Armando Alejandro Estrada: Joo know, a man like me, amigo, he's always lookin' for new ways to -- como se dice -- turn a profit. Believe me, I have found ways. Mucho dinero.
ThePWF.com: Such as?
Estrada: [removes sunglasses] Are joo kidding?
ThePWF.com: Moving along, then. At Nuclear Frost, you unleashed your monster, Umaga, on the PWF. Just one week later, though, the PWF was on temporary hiatus until it defeats VCW in court. How does that make you feel?
Estrada: [puts on sunglasses] I am no happy man over what has taken place, okay? Neither
es my monster, Umaga, believe me.
Nuclear Frost was beautiful. Umaga destroyed not one, but two men -- I forget
their names because they don't matter, understand -- and then, one week later,
he destroys another individual ... and now this. So, no, I am not happy, amigo.
ThePWF.com: Do you hold any ill feelings towards Christian for being responsible for the PWF's hiatus?
Estrada: No, I don't blame Christian at all, amigo. In America, joo do what joo have to do to survive. Christian
es not from here either, okay? This es no ordinary gringo. Pero ... surviving in America es easy; it's -- como se dice -- the land of opportunidad. It's up to joo to take advantage of it.
ThePWF.com: He is taking money out of your pocket, though; is he not?
Estrada: Christian es stealing from Armando, comprende? I may not blame him for doing what he has to do, pero that doesn't mean my monster won't make him pay, okay? Armando can get why Christian
es doing what he es doing and still have him broken in two.
ThePWF.com: This wouldn't have anything to do with getting on Mr. Bischoff's good side, would it? Making open threats to his most hated of enemies?
Estrada: Joo aren't as stupid as you look. Ha-ha! [pause] Take that as a compliment, okay?
