The PWF Triple Crown is an achievement of epic proportions, an achievement that will require a variety of skills in a variety of settings, such as
sustained, consistent excellence, managing a truly chaotic setting with opponents and rivals coming from all sides, remarkable endurance and conditioning, and rallying a team of friends or foes in the pursuit of a common goal ... just to name a few. Three of the following four
phases must be won or survived in order to become an official PWF Triple Crown Champion:
(1) The PWF Championship. Quite simply, it is the most prestigious championship or title in professional wrestling history.
(2) The Battle Field. The goal? To outlast 29 of the greatest wrestlers in the world during the most exciting hour of wrestling each year.
(3) The King of the Ring Tournament. The eight who qualify for it are among the greatest in the world; the one who survives three matches in a single night, among the greatest of all-time.
(4) The Recoil match. It is the ultimate in gang warfare. Truly, only the fittest survive in this setting with their health, bodies, and careers intact.
To-date, only five men are able to call themselves Professional Wrestling
Federation Triple Crown Champions: PWF Hall of Famer Mr. Perfect, John Cena, Shane Douglas,
Bret Hart, and Steve Austin. Mr. Perfect was the first and, for nearly a year-and-a-half, only
Triple Crown Champion. Cena then followed suit with his survival of a Recoil match; Perfect and Cena would be joined a little over a year after that by The Franchise, when Douglas was one of two winners
of the 2008 Battle Field. Hart would join the exclusive group by winning the
2009 King of the Ring Tournament, and Austin by helping Team PWF turn back the Triple Threat and the New Breed at Recoil 2009.

Four men are missing just one of these accomplishments in order for themselves to be able to join this elite fraternity of champions. Those men are Raven, PWF
Hall of Famer and current PWF commissioner Barry Wright, Lance Storm, and Rob Van Dam.
All four have won the PWF Championship, so they will have to score their third
crown at one of the PWF's three annual Triple Crown Events -- King of the Ring,
Recoil, and Fall Battle Fields.
Needless to say, with one of the crowns being attaining the greatest championship in wrestling history and the other three being attainable
just once each per calendar year, opportunities to score any of the three crowns necessary to become a Triple Crown Champion are few and far between.
