The NOWF Intercontinental Championship was easily one of the most heavily defended titles in all of professional wrestling. From its creation in 1997 to the end of the NOWF in 2001, some of the very best held it proudly. For some, like Steve Augustine or Raven, it was a stepping stone to higher goals. For many others, such as Riptide and Mike Richardson, the Intercontinental Championship was a goal in and of itself. The biggest pay-per-view in NOWF history, No Turning Back 1998, was, in fact, headlined by an Intercontinental Championship match. Just as many men put their bodies on-the-line for this title as for any other, and those who made their mark will be remembered forever.
