CHRIS JERICHO
NOWF Intercontinental Champion
Jun. 18, 2000 - Nov. 2000

The rivalry between NOWF Intercontinental Champion Triple H and Chris Jericho actually began a month prior to their match, when -- during the 10-man tag team main event pitting the Perfect Team and Triple H against The Syndicate and Taz -- miscommunication led to The Game kneeing Jericho in the head. Jericho, of course, did not take this well and charged Triple H with failing to live up to the standards of the PT. Triple H tried to dodge this challenge by offering Bret Hart, the man he'd beaten for the title, a rematch, but Hart stepped aside, offering him up to Jericho. In the match, Jericho was able to lock on the Liontamer for the victory, capturing the NOWF Intercontinental Championship for the first time, and then declaring Goldberg's Revolution title to be "next."
