Ricky Mackey went on a real tear in the summer of 1998, taking over The Horsemen
and remolding them into his own image. As part of his rise to prominence, he won
a match with Genesis for a shot at NOWF Intercontinental Champion Riptide. The next week, his tear continued as he defeated Riptide to win the title.
