After impressive singles wins over each member of The Eliminators, albeit
with the assistance of Edge and Christian, Sean Gunn was awarded a title shot against
NOWF Intercontinental Champion Raven. The match, though, never took place; Raven simply laid down and allowed
Gunn to pin him. When asked why, Raven responded almost lucidly considering
some of his statements: "There is no more Taz. There is no more Hennig. When I
beat Augustine, that one will be no more, as well. The monopoly will be done. My
final victory is close at hand."
