CHRISTIAN PWF Champion Nov. 5, 2008 - Dec. 10, 2008
After Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated Shane Douglas at Road To
Perdition for the spot in the WrestleFest IV main event, all looked set
up for a classic bout between PWF Champion Raven and The Rattlesnake.
However, on the following Wargames, both Christian and Bret Hart
expressed their individual concerns over who should truly be fighting
Raven for the title. They interrupted the contract signing between Raven
and Austin and weren't leaving until something was done about their
displeasure. Despite Austin's guaranteed title shot, by the decision
of PWF president Bobby Heenan, he would have to share it with both Christian and Hart,
making the main event of WrestleFest a Fatal Four-Way for the first time
in history. It was a brutal affair come match time with all of the
superstars taking the No Disqualification rules to their advantage. Late
in the match, Hart would send Austin crashing through a table and
ultimately took him out of the finish. During an exciting sequence of
near-finishes, Christian dropkicked Raven to prevent an Even Flow on Hart and
then slammed the Hit Man down with an Unprettier to win his third PWF
Championship. He had once again, for the third time, taken the Federation
Championship away from Raven.
