RAVEN
PWF Champion
Sept. 3, 2008 - Nov. 5, 2008

After what some people would call an injustice to Bret Hart when he was stripped of the PWF Championship, Bobby Heenan reinstated him as PWF Champion just eight days later. As President Heenan did this, however, he gave Raven a rematch against Hart at the upcoming Fall Battle Fields event. To prevent anymore problems with disqualification finishes, Heenan declared that the rematch would be fought under the rules that the title could change hands on a DQ. Hart, undeterred at the harsh punishment if he were caught, still cheated his way to a victory by using brass knuckles to knock Raven out and score a pinfall. PWF senior referee Earl Hebner didn't catch the act, but Steve Austin came out of the back to clear things up. Stone Cold did his best to explain to Hebner what happened, eventually causing Hebner to check Hart's trunks for the foreign object. Once they were found, Hebner officially reversed the decision and awarded Raven the match via disqualification. The Hit Man would pay the ultimate price and had once again lost a World Championship in controversial fashion, something that had happened to him far too often in his legendary career.
