JOHNNY WALKER PWF Extreme Champion Aug. 2, 2006 - Oct. 4, 2006
At Terminal Solution, Mr. Bischoff promised a special segment with former PWF Cruiserweight Champion Johnny
Walker, a man who had just, one week prior, been forced to defend his
title against Intercontinental Champion Excellence, a heavyweight.
Walker would lose the bout, but Excellence was immediately stripped of the
Cruiserweight title by Bischoff. After Walker dispatched Raven II at Terminal
Solution, Bischoff headed to the ring for the promised segment. As Walker and
many PWF fans feared, it wasn't good news; Bischoff reaffirmed that the
Cruiserweight title was, indeed, vacant, but there was more -- he was retiring
the Cruiserweight title, Walker's pride and joy, permanently.
Bischoff wasn't through, however. He felt that the end of one title left an
opening for another to return -- the Extreme Championship. Bischoff promised a
revamped Extreme title, with the ultimate goal of more competitive matches
featuring more successful superstars. As a result of a highly impressive few
months in the PWF, Walker was granted an automatic spot in the Extreme
Championship's return match at La Mala Sombra. Three other wrestlers -- Diesel,
Sid Vicious, and two-time Extreme Champion Riptide -- fought their way into the
Last Man Standing match, but The Kid continued his impressive rise and won the
second PWF title of his young career.
