Most wrestling promotions with an Intercontinental Championship regard it as a stepping stone -- a petty bauble to be passed around. In the PWF, this is most assuredly not the case. Of the seven men to hold the Intercontinental title in the first two years of the PWF's existence, four of them were World Champions prior to winning it. To some fans, this belt is regarded as very nearly the equal of even the coveted PWF Championship, due in large part to the 10+ month reign of Mr. Perfect, putting it on the map in a huge way. Christian's disrespect of the title after winning it notwithstanding, the PWF Intercontinental Championship is no petty bauble -- it is a sign of greatness.
