After Excellence won the PWF Intercontinental Championship from Shane Douglas in
a lengthy Recoil match, The Franchise made it his mission to reclaim the title
that he had so proudly held. The first singles encounter between Excellence and
Douglas would be signed and would ultimately be one of the year's best matches. In the end,
Douglas utilized a brand new move from his arsenal -- fittingly enough, called
"The Franchiser" -- to defeat the Franchise Player and regain the PWF Intercontinental title in
Toronto.
