The backstage assault giveth, and the backstage assault taketh away. Del Wilkes had come out of
a War Games cage match with his Intercontinental title intact, but no belt is ever safe in the PWF. On the very next edition of
Wargames, he was challenged by upstart Johnny Walker, a former Cruiserweight and Extreme Champion in his own right. In a scene reminiscent of the night Wilkes won the title, Walker was found unconscious backstage, having been attacked by Wilkes' Rated R compatriots. Just as Wilkes had done, Steve Austin was the man to step forward and answer the open challenge this time around. Before the night was over, the PWF saw a new champion crowned once again, with
The Rattlesnake winning the most illustrious title of his career to-date.
