TAZ
PWF Intercontinental Champion
Nov. 1, 2006 - Dec. 6, 2006

Wrestling always seems to come back to friends turning into enemies, and the case of Mike Flynn and Taz is no exception. Long-time friends, they split for good when the New Breed self-destructed early in 2006. Things became even more heated later in the year, though, when one shocking day, "Magnificent" Mike Flynn was arrested. The charge? Rape. The victim? ... Taz's wife, Rebecca. To say that Taz was incensed by this turn of events would be a gross understatement. Mysteriously, Flynn was bailed out of jail, which Taz originally thought was done by his benefactor Ted DiBiase as a way of letting Taz handle things personally. Not so; neither was it the work of Taz's second guess, PWF owner Eric Bischoff. Instead, Flynn had been bailed out by none other than ... Rebecca herself. The two of them had set Taz up to look like a fool. Taz reciprocated by bringing in Flynn's former valet, The Brat, to be in his corner.

The war only escalated from there, and to settle matters, Flynn was set to defend his Intercontinental Championship against Taz at WrestleFest II in a Hell in a Cell match. Flynn opened things up by nailing Taz with the title belt and tried to up the violence factor with a table. This backfired, though, as Taz caught him with a German Tazplex right through the table. The monstrous Human Suplex Machine continued his assault, literally ripping the cage's door off with his bare hands so he could make use of the entire ringside area in destroying Flynn. He challenged Flynn to meet him atop the cage, and the Magnificent One obliged. After a lengthy battle high above the ring, Taz was set to powerbomb Flynn to his doom, but a back body drop sent Taz hurtling from the top of the cage all the way to the arena floor, but not before crashing through a table. The Brat tried to stop Flynn from diving onto Taz, but he decided to dive onto her instead. Taz, somewhat surprisingly, sacrificed his own body to save her. Both men continued to battle it out until Taz was able to lock the Tazmission onto Flynn as a counter to the Magnificent Move. With nowhere to go, Flynn was choked out, and Taz took the Intercontinental title and a bit of redemption, as well.
