After seven months as champions, the Masked Men appeared to have a
stranglehold on the PWF Tag Team Championship. Enter: Money Talks. Ted DiBiase appeared on the PWFTron and
promised a big debut for himself, along with a "business
associate" that would guarantee his success. His associate turned out to be
Razor Ramon, which the Masked Men found out first-hand when this new team
decided to debut a few weeks earlier than they had led everyone to believe. The surprise gave them
a lot of momentum going into Apocalypse and their title match against the Masked Men.
Money Talks surprised everyone in their performance, cheating their way to
victory and the PWF Tag Team Championship ... or so they thought. After a replay was
seen by the referee, the decision was reversed, and the boys from Team SEC were
able to walk out as champions via disqualification. Money Talks' performance was
impressive enough to warrant them a rematch by Mr. Bischoff, though, and they
made good on the opportunity, finally dethroning a Masked Men team at No Escape
that previously seemed unbeatable.
