Once Sting became a thorn in Bam Bam Bigelow's side, taking the Television Championship away from the Triple Threat on top of everything else, the Beast from the East was determined to completely annihilate Sting in the ring. Bam Bam attacked Sting mercilessly in the weeks after Sting's big title win, whether it was at Road To Perdition or the Wargames programs that followed. Everywhere Sting turned, Bigelow was there to put him through hell. A match was signed for WrestleFest V so the two could settle their differences, and many critics wondered if Sting was Bigelow's "Achilles' heel." Bam Bam finally silenced those doubts for good at WrestleFest, driving Sting down ruthlessly into the mat with a Greetings from Asbury Park. The Triple Threat was destined to have a successful night at WrestleFest V, the biggest event in wrestling history, but it was also the moment Bam Bam Bigelow finally squashed the doubts on whether or not he could defeat the Stinger.
