BATISTA World Tag Team Champion Jul. 12, 2007 - Jul. 25, 2007
Though Raven and Taz had won the World Tag Team Championship prior to the VCW lawsuit putting the PWF on ice for six months, when the company returned to television, something had clearly changed in Taz. He didn't seem ready for the PWF's comeback, and it cost him dearly, as "The Franchise" Shane Douglas seemed to take delight in injuring the legendary competitor after a one on one match, putting the Human Suplex Machine on the shelf. Somehow, self-proclaimed VCW World Heavyweight Champion Mike Flynn managed to convince PWF president Eric Bischoff to allow him to stand in as Raven's partner, much to the then-Extreme Champion's chagrin.
Meanwhile, "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase announced his intentions to return to the tag team ranks, having located a "perfect partner" -- a remark obviously designed to push the public towards believing it would be a former Perfect Team member
-- to help bring some respect back to the division. The mystery man debuted not long before
Terminal Solution, and it was indeed former PT insurance policy Batista,
who demolished Riptide in the ring. With DiBiase's championship history, a showdown
with Raven and Flynn seemed inevitable, although in the end, it would not come to pass. After Terminal Solution, the PWF held a special Clash of the Champions edition of Wargames, and Raven decided to let Flynn handle the business of defending the titles against this new duo.
Batista ended up taking on Flynn in a singles contest with the World Tag Team titles
at stake and soundly defeated him in the ring. DiBiase came out to join Batista, celebrating the win and his new title ... except Batista, without saying a word, walked off with both championship belts.
