MNM World Tag Team Champions Oct. 4, 2006 - Nov. 1, 2006
MNM, who was the VCW Tag Team
Champions when it shut down, signed on with the PWF, and it wouldn't be long before they targeted the PWF Tag Team
Championship. Their
first opportunity came at Fall Battle Fields in a Triple Threat match, but
champions Money Talks
walked away victorious after a Razor's Edge to Road Warrior Animal. Later that
same night, MNM managed to eliminate Ted DiBiase from the Battle Field, getting
a small bit of revenge. The next week, during a Public Address from Money Talks,
they said MNM needed to be taught a lesson, and so a match was slated for Road To
Perdition.
In the coming weeks, Eric Bischoff would announce that the match wouldn't be for
Money Talks' PWF Tag Team Championship. The nearing bout would instead unify the PWF and VCW Tag Team
Championships, where the winners would become the World Tag Team Champions. When the match finally went down, MNM proved to be Money Talks'
toughest challenge to-date. Ramon got low-blowed and hit with a Standing
Shooting Star Press from Nitro, and, with the Million Dollar Man incapacitated on
the outside from a high-flying move by Mercury, MNM won the match, unifying
the titles and becoming the first-ever World Tag Team Champions.
