SHANE DOUGLAS & DALLAS PAGE
World Tag Team Champions
Feb. 22, 2008 - Mar. 20, 2008

After winning the World Tag Team Championship at WrestleFest III in one of the biggest tag team matches of all-time, Edge & Christian would once again reign over the division they helped make famous. It wasn't all good times, however, as they failed to capture the PWF Championship in a tag team match at Aggression where it was on-the-line; this was partially due to "Diamond" Dallas Page's treachery, which led to the forming of "The Triple Threat" of Page, Shane Douglas, and Lance Storm.

In the coming weeks, a bitter rivalry started forming between Edge and Page, which initially came to a head on the Feb. 22 edition of Wargames. It was there that a backstage brawl between the two led to a match being signed between Edge & Christian and Douglas & Page with the World Tag Team Championship at stake. It was a fight more than anything else during that night's main event, and Edge was still so filled with anger that it may have cost his team the titles. While he pummeled DDP mercilessly with vicious blows, Christian was being choked by The Franchise with a cord behind the referee's back. Edge eventually saw it, but he was too late to stop it, and the distraction was enough to let Page hit a Diamond Cutter and steal the win. The Threat, only two weeks after forming, were now in possession of the World Tag Team Championship.
